Fair Play

Fair Play is an important parameter for the implementation of the Storsjöcup, and over the years we have discussed and made changes to ensure that we live up to that motto. In 2024 we started a core values project for our member associations, initially for the three oldest teams among the boys. With this project we want to raise the concept and meaning of Fair Play to include all parts of the cup.

Storsjöcupen is an event for everyone and we want everyone to understand that the Fair Play spirit applies throughout the cup, not just during matches and events on and near the pitch. The Storsjö Cup runs from Tuesday to Saturday, and regardless of where you live or which team you play for, the cup's Fair Play applies to everyone.

We define Fair Play as follows: Adhering to rules and agreements that make Storsjöcupen a positive experience and a cup you want to return to.

We know that during a youth cup, situations arise where the excitement and adventure can throw logic out of play. With this project, we want to clarify and raise awareness of how we want a Fair Play cup participant to think and act. The goal is to certify those who go through the project and also appoint a number of them as Fair Play ambassadors for the Storsjöcup.

This is done through workshops and lectures with the players.

Storsjöcupen Ambassador - our core values project and how we create a good experience for all participants

The project is being carried out together with RF/SISU, Länsförsäkringar Jämtland and the Storsjöcupen Association. The project group consists of Tobbe Ryman (project manager), Storsjöcupen's safety manager Magnus Eriksson and Anja Koohonen (RF/SISU).
